A Tribute to Brooklyn: DJ Clark Kent x Nike Air Force 1s

Brooklyn. No other borough is as world famous and world infamous as Brooklyn. Coney Island, Nathan's, Brooklyn Pizza, the Brooklyn Bridge, Ebbets Field, the birthplace of Michael Jordan, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G, the list reads like the Wonders of the World. Of all of the things that combine to create the deep and rich history of Brooklyn, DJ Clark Kent, a proud product of BK, selected an often overlooked yet vital piece of Brooklyn History when creating his "Tribute to Brooklyn" Nike Air Force 1s, the Brooklyn Dodgers' Jackie Robinson. The first African American to play in Major League Baseball, Jackie Robinson shattered the "Baseball Color Line" and not only paved the way for African American's in Major American Sports, but also, American Pop Culture. In creating the "Tribute to Brooklyn" Nike Air Force 1s, Nike Innovation Kitchen Designer, JB-31, selected a Metallic Brooklyn Dodger Blue Premium Leather Upper with a Metallic Silver Premium Leather Swoosh. This upper serves as a canvas for a finely crafted and in depth lasered story that features the Brooklyn Dodgers "B" Logo, the Brooklyn Dodgers "Dodger" and "Brooklyn Script" Logos, several pieces of Robinson's career, "Jackie" and "Robinson" on the tongues, Robinson's accomplishments, Clark Kent's DJCK logo, and more. The Heel tab on the "Tribute to Brooklyn's" feature a Red Metallic Leather "4" and "2" for Robinson's Major League wide retired number "42". The collar and inner tongue continue the story of Robinson's career. To complete the package, the "Tribute to Brooklyn" box features an inlaid Red Metallic Leather "42" and the "Brooklyn" and "Dodgers" logos lasered on the inside. The "Tribute to Brooklyn" Nike Air Force 1s are a 1 of 1 piece created by JB-31 for DJ Clark Kent in Nike's Innovation Kitchen. Special thanks to our main man DJ Clark Kent for the pictures
